Become a LeaderWhy:- Leading a troop is a wonderful opportunity to share with your daughter and her friends.
Who:- Any adult can lead a troop.
- A man can be a leader if he has a non-related female as a co-leader.
- We recommend enlisting the help of all parents in the troop.
What:- An application and background check are required.
- Free, local training classes are provided by the Girl Scout council.
- Three classes are required during the first four months.
- The first class is a pre-requisite for scheduling the first meeting.
- All leaders have activity/leader guides available for use.
Where:- We recommended that troops meet in public facilities (ex:. schools, churches, rec centers).
When:- Troops can form at any time, generally they begin in the fall.
- Troops can meet as regularly as permitted by the leader's and girls' schedules.
- Troops can meet on the day and at the time that is most convenient for leader and troop.
