Adult Application Forms 

Please follow these easy steps to become a Girl Scout Volunteer:

1. Print out the Volunteer Application (includes Background Check Authorization Form), and three copies of the Reference Form. (Requires the free PDF reader, which you can download here: Adobe Acrobat Reader).
2. Complete and mail the Girl Scout Volunteer Application and Background Check Authorization Forms to the council office. The address is on the bottom right of the second page of the application.
3. Have three individuals confidentially return the Girl Scout reference forms to the council office either via mail (address at the top of the reference form), or via fax to: 865/689-9835, or call 688-9440 ext. 105 or 1-800-474-1912 ext. 105 at the council office to have references taken over the phone.
4. Upon approval as a volunteer (when paperwork is received and reviewed in the council office), placement into a volunteer position. If a troop leader (assistant or co-leader), attend Leader Orientation training course before the first meeting with girls and parents. If other type volunteer, attend appropriate orientation as indicated by council staff upon placement.
5. If a troop leader, receive Troop Packet including troop number and registration information. Schedule and conduct first troop meeting.
6. Complete additional training required for the volunteer position held. (See the training schedule in your Discovery Guide.)
