Famous tenors serenade Tanasi Council Girl Scouts

Knoxville, Tennessee (October 22, 2007):  Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council have a special opportunity to hear three of the opera world’s most famous tenors in concert.

Israel Lozano, Gaston Rivero and Thomas Studebaker invite Tanasi Council Girl Scouts to a dress rehearsal at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville.

Their blockbuster program includes the overwhelming finale of Boito’s Mefistofele, scenes from Puccini’s Turandot, arias from Verdi’s Otello, La Traviata and Il Trovatore. The performance concludes with Verdi’s historic Hymn of the Nations, a Toscanini favorite, in its Tennessee premiere.

The November 1 performance at the Bijou Theatre begins at 7 p.m.  Girl Scout admission is $3.  Troop leader and other volunteer adult admission is $5.
