Share a book. Change a life.For five years, Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council have been changing lives through Reading Rocks! This annual Girl Scout community service project brings books to children who can't afford their own. Our partners, Carpe Librum Booksellers, WBIR-TV, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, distribute donations to children through Toys for Tots. Our newest partners, the Bijou Theatre and Mast General Store, will also be dropoff points for children's books in 2008. This year, Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council hope to collect 11,000 books to share with children over the holidays. Thank you for sharing your favorite books with children around East Tennessee.
